a free translation for english readers:
your white hair, like the Volcano snow,
oh wise woman, tell me the timeless story,
ilamatl tlamatque, tell me when the men strave,
ilamatl tlamatque, tell me when the women amused themselves.
The Iztaccíhuatl cover us with its kind shadow,
like the tender mother whom it protects to its children of the cold and death,
ilamatl tlamatque, tell me when the wind sang,
ilamatl tlamatque, tell me about the petals in the Great Lake.
Whispering rate, that breaks in quiet weeping while the night advances,
With your eyes sunk, see the quiet reflection of the Moon,
ilamatl tlamatque, sights with resignation,
ilamatl tlamatque, the cold passage of time
Oh my friends!, that we are here for a moment,
the grass that grew with the dew, the majority has been extinguished,
like pale grass, you remain immutable in presence of the wind,
ilamatl tlamatque, your timeless memories follows of foot.
Like the water that falls from the Tepeyac,
fresh and abundant, like your wisdom,
ilamatl tlamatque, when your wisdom appears, the sun is hidden

Beautiful write and the spanish (though I don't understand a lot of it) sounds even more beautiful when read. Thanks for the translation.
