|
No longer will she look on him.
His eyes tearless and blank,
Will never meet her gaze again.
She sheds no tears,
All of them spent.
She cannot look upon his pale face
Nor gently hold his hand.
Their future abruptly ended
He said he wouldn't leave her
But death had other plans.
Her strength's diminished
Yet he stays still.
He gives no comfort,
No one left to help her.
As the casket's lowered down,
Love separated by death.
Finally the tears flow
As he watches his love one last time.
Through the pouring tears he whispers,
"Wait for me".

| this was a beautiful write.....and so utterly heartbreaking and sad...it brought a tear to my eye. youve captured the feelings so well and how much it truly does hurt to watch ur loved one being lowered into the ground. this was beautiful.....just beautiful and sad |
