I saw their faces
when they heard the news;
they didn't want to know me,
they had nothing to loose.
They stared at me
with their sad watery eyes;
they couldn't believe
all the lies.
The long depressing notes
read out and clear
about all my troubles
and all my fears.
They never knew;
i hid it so well,
thats why
they could never tell.
About all these times
i didn't make a sound
about the person i became
when you weren't around.
So, forgive me,
it was for the best,
and i am happy now
that my scarred soul is at rest.

| this is beautiful poetry and such a sad write! again i can relate and ur words r very powerful and real....the last stanza "so, forgive me, it was for the best, and i am happy now, that my scarred soul is at rest' left me breathless. ur awesome! |
