highway signs

*****************************

coughing and my throat is raw
hallucincations that maybe
just maybe, life is a highway
and here i am
driving along
when i see you
dressed in white (duh) and with a sign
'taurus' it says, i stop, let u get in

and then u get out
a few miles later i see him
'pisces' reads his sign
"i need time with my own kind" i think
open the door for one more hitchhiker
on my highway of life

about the same miles as i drove with taurus and i drop the fish in the desert
drive back to the bull
and ask him if he wants another turn
another ride in my ride

but intimidating is the bull
me, the nervous fish
the jealous fish
and confused when i can't see the future

maybe u will get in
and we can keep on driving together
see where the road takes us
or at least how far we get on this road of life
together

and maybe u will already have a ride,
or a picture of your dream car
and i will be rejected
but i will be fine then
keep driving and pick up the hitchhiker
who draws his life on my sould, his name on my hand, and his love on my heart.

say what u say, do what u do, but i will always be fine with the dish life is servin, just maybe i get to add my own spices.

-remember december, 02-
