Botticelli has painted me a new god.
His brush fills in the brown of his eyes-
I am captivated.
I turn to see Michaelangelo-
a swift flash of green
and the grass of my new world
bends in worship.
Da Vinci has captured the sun-
a fiery engulfed ascension
seeming to lick his divine skin.
He moves over the sky
with lustful strokes
and the gods watch
intent on this new addition.
With a face and a form
and a reign all his own.
My artists are enraptured.
