Silent screams shackle her limbs, hiding inside the darkness of a distant past, mouth open to the sound of no sound.
Heavy steps descend further, throwing up a fiery haze, the crucible unable to contain the viper's jaw, drawing her deeper into the abyss.
Aware enough to know eerie pasts created a world the dead had made for her, she willingly entertains the predator as 3-dimensional shadows draw her in.
Unable to escape, she knows she must be rescued from it, as she reaches for her balm of redemption,
the only thing left to chase away the demons of her sleep.
