Shyly, she had given her heart to him And he eventually tossed it back in her face Despondant, desolate She withdrew in stark disgrace
To overwrought to understand To raw to really care Staring blankly at the photo She uttered a sigh of despair
Two months of torturous soul searching Determining who she is, and who she is not Not always liking the picture But finding the woman she almost forgot
The warped mirror exposing reflections Hazy images of lifetimes past Distinct ideals for her tomorrows Fused into a deranged contrast
Snapping out of this illusion I glance down at his photo in my hand Carefully, I tuck it into the bureau Determined to meet life head on, and make a stand.

Snapping out of this illusion
I glance down at his photo in my hand
Carefully, I tuck it into the bureau
Determined to meet life head on, and make a stand.
That's my favorite part.
Hang tuff friend as you'll get thru.
huggs, luv, smiles,
