I can't believe I broke your heart
But there's nothing I wouldn't do
To make it up to you
I never wanted to hurt you
And I never dreamed I would be
The one to make you cry
If I could, I'd kiss every tear away
And never let another find your eyes
I'd rather take it all upon myself
Then make you feel another ounce of pain
I'll never say goodbye again
Just to pick you back up again
You know I'm not like that
No, I'll never take advantage
Of how much you love me, or how
I'll always have your heart
Nobody's ever loved me like you do
And there's not a soul that compares to you
You're everything I've looked for all my life
And I'm nothing short of blessed to have you
I know all too well how it feels
To lose someone you need so much
You just feel dead inside
I'm sorry I put you through that
But on the bright side, now I know
Just how much I need you
'Cause now I see your love for me transcends
Everything I've ever known in my life
No one else ever cared much if at all
But you cried 'cause you felt empty inside
I realized when I let go I
Gave up one of the best things that's
Ever happened to me
But I took that time without you
To find out I don't want to be
With anyone but you
I'm sorry for the times I get jealous
Not to mention insecure, and scared too
But I can't breathe, I can't live without you
Sometimes I need you to reassure me
Being so far away from you
Makes me miss you so much it hurts
I want to be near you
To fall asleep with you at night
I want to wake up next to you
To never feel alone
But you don't have to be here to be near
Because you are forever in my heart
And it's enough to know that I've got you
Still, it would be nice to hold you tonight

Aww, cute poem, Dee.
I was thinking earlier, how much this whole "episode" sounds so familiar. I remember when I broke up with Jack, I said the exact words you're saying now. Jeeezzzz....We're too much alike, lol. Oh well. It's comforting.
