Release me,
let me go,
and let me show you
who is really low.
I may be weird
I may be strange
but i would rather be different
than the same.
You were mad because
I had a reason to be sad,
I had a reason
to be bad.
But you wanted to be special,
to be gifted.
But all you wont be
is forgiven.
You hurt me,
you caged me up
and all i ever did
Was say "please stop!"
But you didnt
you wanted to conquer all,
you wanted to see the weak
and the imperfection fall.
Despite my pretty face
and my fragile feelings
you had to make me feel like I was nothing,
and all those things.
Well you won, arent you happy?
All fearless and strong,
yet you knew
all along.
That i was broken
I was scarred
and your hate
just help end it all.
So, I thank you
for your wonderful favor
and just to let you know,
I will get you back later.

I love some of the messages I am getting from this.
And I adore this part:

I think alot of people can really really relate to this.

this poem kind of scares me, just when I think you have gotten over him you say "I will get you back later."
it is a very good poem, like all excellent poetry, it does have the brilliant ending that completely catches the reader off guard. good job. |
