If I say I love you

Contributed by SlimStaple on Wednesday, 5th January 2005 @ 12:28:14 AM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

If I sit beside you and hold your hand
Will you feel my warmth?
If I whisper in your ear that I love you
Will you be able to hear?

Tumbled down, back to this land of family and love.
You hover above us, looking down with glassy eyes.
You stare at us like we arent real, blinking your eyes and walking away.
We are your robots, we dont feel, I can see it in your eyes.
Wipe that thought away come back here.

If I sit beside you and hold your hand
Will you feel my warmth?
If I whisper in your ear that I love you
Will you be able to hear?

As I watch, you pretending you dont hear
I understand you will never know what this does.
Look at the faces of your children
They beg and plead for you to come with them
But you just stare forward and leave them.

If I sit beside you and hold your hand
Will you feel my warmth?
If I whisper in your ear that I love you
Will you be able to hear?

Ill stay right where I am, even if you dont see.
So I will wait until the day you come back.
One day there will be a spark in your soul
And I will know my love has returned to me.

If I sit beside you and hold your hand
Will you feel my warmth?
If I whisper in your ear that I love you
Will you be able to hear?
