This written on the night
Of my possible death
In this sudden morbid light
I have perfect retrospect
To an outsider it would seem
I lead a life of counseling
But to me I only dream
Of helping a human being
I live as though I'm alone
I sin like there's no tomorrow
To die I might atone
And heal my soul of sorrow
There is not hope for me
To become perfect health
This freak is all I see
When I look at myself
Too long I have waited
Too long I have not done
Too long I have procrastinated
Tonight I will be gone
My life has been a lie
My death will be a lie
To all I say goodbye
See you on the other side.

What a way to greet a new year...
Sad poem that represents how a lot of young people feel these days. I found the final line a bit out of place, otherwise I quite enjoyed this one. |
