My Own Private Heaven

I come inside and lock the door
The outside world cant bother me no more
In the comfort of my own loving home
The trouble of the world are far less known
Im in control of my own domain
Where its safe and dry and free from rain
Pain and strife free, for I dont let it in
On the doorstep is where it begins and ends
Only positive thinking enters my door
Outside influences we try to ignore
My own private heaven is inside these walls
And only loved ones walk through the halls
You are welcome to enter just simply knock
Shelter from the storm, its like an ark
But remember what I said before you start
You can only enter with the purest of heart

| Beautiful poem wished I had thought like this many years ago. I would not be in the hell hole I'm in now. Because my friend unfortunately there are only two choices hell and heaven. I've created my hell, but slowly I'm turning that around and reading your poem gives me hope. Thank you. |
