one on one you act real sweet
but around her you're no treat
you always wonder if im mad at you
and your girlfriend always wonders too
the answer is no but the answer is yes
cuz i don't think you two are best
some people say i'm rude some say conceited
but i won't be stopped until my goals are completed.
i have goals in love and goals in life
but i don't want them to cause a strife
no matter what i'll be your friend
i just need my broken heart to mend.
so let me ignore you
but know i adore you
i know that she won
but the impossible can be done
i know that she won
but i won't be outdone
I'll climb all the mountains
I'll swim in all the fountains
I'll battle a croc
I'll undo the lock
There's nothing i won't do
As long as i can get to you.
But no one sees what you mean to me
to your heart, i don't hold the key
I'm afraid I'll never get my chance
I don't even get a glance
I'm always second best
never as good as the rest
But I'll have to live
never to get but always to give
