They said we were so cute, and we were
But you see, I loved you like a brother
I thought we were better as friends
The relationship was a dead end
I'm sorry that I hurt you
I didn't mean to, I swear
I know if was out of the blue
But I really do care
I care so much it hurts
I broke your heart on accident
Now I stare blankly at the dirt
I can't believe what I've done
You didn't deserve what I did
I wish I could take it all back
Everything awful I said
I threw our friendship off track
And that's the worst thing I've ever done
Now all I want is our companionship to return
So we can be the best of friends once again
