The sun has stopped shining now,
The rosy haze has gone.
Its time for the world to put you to sleep,
to desensitize what was always thought right.
Climb up into bed. Get up off the floor.
The moon doesnt light the dreams anymore.
The pavements a metallic grey.
Stop. Begin again. Do not pass go...
Innocence is ignorance and ignorance is bliss.
No one saw it coming, it hit them
like a bolt in the blue.
I remember it like it was yesterday.
Yesterdays dont matter.
Now enjoyment manifests in the form of
faceless nothings.
They said it was where it all started. It was
But its started again once more.
Dont dwell on whats happened.
It wont happen again...
They say its a web. Dont believe what they say
Though, you can see it, quite plainly
laid out in a maze?
All around you.
Slowly killing all that was once about you.
Green is not green. Blue isnt blue.
The sky is the sky.
is it you?
Its all neatly mapped out , with the off roads, the highways, a key
But no lock.
Why not go anywhere, be shown the way to
more constant droning.
To the industrial humming of the world flying past ...

To me, this has a somewhat dark tone that mixes with other emotions. Reminds me of life and how it twists and turns along with the highs and lows.
Which musical piece inspired this?

this is so deep I see many meanings here.
Life in general then once you think its all figured out you realize that you had nothing figured out at all.
certain ppl telling us all what is black and white right and wrong but finding out your own truths and beliefs along the way
Time stops for noone live in each moment learn from past but dont dwell in it look forward to the future but dont fear it live your life and grow....... sorry I could go on and on
this is a great piece and I bet Im not even close lol do tell which song inspired this one? Pm me if you like and tell me if I was close thats why I love poetry so much there could be so many meanings to ones work of art.......
