Empty eyes
Watching, but not seeing.
Everywhere you go,
They follow.
Staring, straight through you;
Transparent as glass.
Empty minds
Lurking, around every corner
Listening, but not hearing.
Judging, without considering.
Their assumptions,
Illogical.
Empty souls
Wandering, through the streets
Reaching, but not touching.
Hands waving,
Without moving.
Their gestures,
Meaningless.
Empty smiles,
Haunting, your dreams.
Tearing down defenses,
Without a second thought.
The Cheshire Cat could only be
So deceitful.
Empty expressions
Filling your glass.
Reflected, in every mirror.
