The moon falls short to brilliancy I've never taken to the night Retreat as the stars cover the sky I fear I won't sleep tonight We grow old one day at a time
I lie awake deaf, to the sounds of life Doesn't anybody know I feel it everyday when my body aches I remember this feeling come over me I fear I will die in this place
I will not die in this place

I like this. It captures feelings that few take the time to elaborate upon. I like the hopeful ending.
