We are all
Scrambling for the dreams pre-molded
All the while being self-scolded
Gripping hopes like the precious sands
The harder we try the faster it slips through our hands
Chasing a love we read in fairytales
As if a wish or kiss could truly make a change
We are all
Believers in something better, in hope
For reasons of our own, to move forward, or maybe just to cope
Asking for everything and yet needing nothing at all
Someone to love, a memory to keep...these are the only things we need
Wonders to each other, a stranger to our neighbor
All works in progress, waiting to be, or to fulfill
We are all persistent, and one day we will
