I remember when we were always laughing
So you thought I never cried
Until that first day you saw tears find my eyes
I tried to be strong inside
But you made me see how caring you could be
And I let myself give in
To the strange way I felt looking in your eyes
And the comfort your arms bring
You made me want so badly to be your strength
Like it was all about you
Even though I was down on the floor crying
But I didn't mind for you
After that day, anytime that I was down
I came running straight to you
Because you always made everything better
And you would carry me through
No matter what I did, you were always there
When others would say goodbye
You never got sick of me or had enough
Even when I asked you why
You weren't annoyed by my insecurities
Never stopped understanding
You just kept giving me that beautiful smile
It felt like you gave me wings
Not a day went by that wasn't spent with you
'Cause we needed each other
I wouldn't have had it any other way
I'll never love another
Those mornings I awoke with you at my side
Were the best mornings I've had
And falling asleep with your arms around me
I never went to sleep sad
Though I know there's a lot we're missing right now
I'm in heaven when you're near
And our love is too strong to keep us apart
Even when you're not right here
So I'll count the days till I see you again
And think of you all the time
Imagine you're with me in the dark of night
To get through this upward climb
And when I finally see you standing there
I'll run straight into your arms
Hold you with all the strength I can find in me
Keep you far away from harm
I'll kiss you and tell you how much I missed you
And the world will disappear
I'll float with the joy only you can give me
I can't wait until you're here

I don't wanna repeat what the others have said, but it is a beautiful poem. I really like this one. It won't seem that long till you can wake up next to him every morning. Only like, a year...lol. Oh well. You've got me till then!! yay.... :P
