To good to be True

Contributed by Dragontear27 on Monday, 10th January 2005 @ 10:29:31 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Everything's to good to be true
from the ground we stand upon
to the sky that has an ever lasting blue
It all just seems like a caun

From the very first kiss we take
until the love dies away and is forsaken
this life of mine seems so fake
because the air is false from the breath I have taken

the people you so generously give your hand out to
aren't always what they seem to be
they'll use up your kindess and turn it back on you
so now do you see what I see

still not convinced alright i'll try again
what about the girl you once knew
the one that flirted with you trying to pretend
she was always in love with you

or how about when you wanted somthing so bad
and it turn out to have some strings attached
or somthing was torn away to soon and made you sad
like the person that which your heart was latched

you see it all turns out the same in the aftermath
everything is to good to be true
happiness is somthing that just doesn't last
but after all that's happened there's nothing you can do

the one that flirted with you trying to pretend
she was always in love with you"
