Standing here
With lights off
Trying not to cry
For you
In your tower
Of armor
Like some beacon
Of dawn.
In my way
I love you
Not only,
But painfully.
Aching
For your staid conscience.
I want to bring you
What you need
But I can't.
Not being
The type
To hold any water
But my own.
