You attacked hard
Left a constant pain
Not at all the same
Since you flew away
It's hard to say
It's like you threw a wooden dart
And it left a tiny splinter deep within my heart
Sitting on a Friday night
Reading under the light
Finding it hard to believe
You were ever going to leave
It's like you threw a wooden dart
And it left a tiny splinter deep within my heart
Looking through the picture book
Before my heart you took
Tears splattered on the page
Trapping me inside a cage
It's like you threw a wooden dart
And it left a tiny splinter deep within my heart
Wrapped up nice and warm
Getting close to the break of dawn
Just trying to forgive
I just need to live
I'm not a kid
So I can forgive you for what you did
It's like you threw a wooden dart
