Things are so new that I often forget
And say many things that I really regret
Im still learning the things that youre sensitive about
Because the last thing I want to make you do is pout
I dont want to hurt you thats not even a thought in my mind
All I want is for you to hold me and be no one elses but mine
I wish you were at my side all day long
But we both know that couldnt happen itd be all wrong
If only you knew how incredibly deeply I care for you
You would run in the opposite direction as if I screamed BOO!
Then again I could be mistaken
Instead you may feel as if youre in heaven
I hope your feelings are the latter of the two
Because if they werent Id definitely feel blue
Funny thing is, Im not really concerned
Cuz I feel as though Im the one that is yearned
And for some odd reason I am not the least bit worried
Because I feel as though one day well be married

I,on the other hand,do believe that love exists,and I think this poem was nice to read.You poured your heart into it,which made it a very heartfelt write.

i dont know what afterdark is talking about, love definitely exists. obviously he or she has never felt it. besides that fact i think this poem was wonderful, some parts could have been done a little better, but all and all i thought it was great.

| Love is a *choice* we make, to devote (or not) ourselves to someone we lust after - at least in the case of intimate relationships. It exists because we make it so. Anyway, I think it may need some division and perhaps the lines are a bit long. But if that's your style, so be it. It's really an okay poem. Cheers! |
