Steady Cruising.

A slight of hand-
A nod of the head-
...

Tires Slipping
Traction Sliding
Feel like Running
Feel like Hiding
...

Sickening Crunch of Metal
Smell of heated Rubber
...

Cement Impact.
Snap and Whip.
Spinning stops-
Final Thoughts-
...

Children safe?
Wife alright?
Hear their Voices-
Heart Rejoices-
...

But cannot reach...
the fading Light...
