Lost Soul

There was once a lost soul
He was blinded from the world,
He lived on the side of a road
Near a dump he curled up in a hole.
He cried all night so he can
Survive the night to come,
Cried to the lord Please Help Me
No reply, no help he received.
People walked by and just looked
The media took photos for news,
Said what has the world become?
When someones loved one
Is a bum!
When one day he were to talk
To a boy he did not know,
I wasnt born when my father left me,
I dont know him but I so wish I did
The man replied with a smile,
Is your name Brian, You have my eyes
The boy was shook up because he felt
Could this be my dad on the road?
Your mother left me to die!
She cheated on me with the step dad youve got;
They both paid and hired a guy,
Before you were born your brother had died.
They both stole my wealth and stole my soul
Killed your eldest brother on this side of the road,
So here I lay everyday
Sleeping where your brothers body once lay.
I never let go that I would see
You in one entire piece.
Im sorry that wed have to meet
Right on this side of the street.
If I had known I would have put on a suit
To meet you and I would look,
Like the man youd dream to meet
Im sorry youd see me like this
The boy and the man got some tests
They were positive and they both knew then
He was his son and the man was his dad
The boy in amazement of his mom & step dad
Some people are quick to say
He is a bum and he drinks everyday,
But if some one killed my child and
Hurt me so deep!
God knows were I would only be.
I would be that bum on the side of the road
I would go insane and I am sure of this,
Life would have nothing left for my soul
My life would be over,
Thats all I know.
My days will end like this

Id lay over my sons blood shed
On the right side of the street
