My Cellist

Contributed by Dri on Thursday, 13th January 2005 @ 01:28:04 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

she is poised, bow in hand
foot tapping
long arms so gracefully surrounding
her cello
soft eyelashes brush cheeks
her downward gaze
and then
she pulls it across
my breath catches at the splendor
the tone is so sad
but the sound is divine
beyond golden
this is the angel's hum
singing low and strong
dancing into the air
such a rich, disarming sound
wraps it's body around your veins
pulling, plucking
until you are beating with it
this mesmeric song of sorrow
