Look not upon my face
if God is who you seek,
for I am not perfect to any degree
yet I always strive to do my best...
Judge me not by your own expectations
for I judge you not by what you do,
ask me not to be who you are
for I am who I will always be...
Let me be who I will
for you are not in my place,
you know not that which I feel
nor do I feel that which you are...
Accept me as I am today
for tomorrow the same I’ll be,
and in the final chapter of life
God will judge me for who I am...

| Yeah. Tomorrow I will be the same. My foundation doesn't change, only the paint, or the curtains or the wreath on the front door. People you let in know you are basically good or simply bad. People who judge, well, you simply have to consider the source. Yeah. Tomorrow I will be the same and a little older. |
