Just why

Contributed by loopylou on Monday, 17th January 2005 @ 03:51:21 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Hang me out to dry
abuse me till i cry
i won't demand anything
only to know why
Why did you never want me?
why make rejection my bestfriend?

the tears are anger now
like the rage i've never felt
i want you to tell me what you don't like about me
i want you to make this pain make sense

Please don't spare my feelings
you never did before
do you think to avoid the truth
hurts less then being ignored?

i want to be something to you
something you can't walk away from
i want to be there for you
someone you can rely on

Why push me away?

I'll ask one last time
tears for added extras
who did you love more?
who did you think was better?

This is a really sad write. I can sense a lot of pain you were in when you wrote this. It's a good write.

ive felt a lot of this before, and yet this didnt seem like a typical write of this emotional situation. thank goodness =]. i loved your last two lines because they were so pointed and so powerful. i think if anyone ever has the guts to say that in real life, than that makes them all the better in being a person. in poetry, even rants dont ask such pointed questions or show such vulnerability.
