Last night while Asleep I watched a movie in Technicolor
Dad played the Man of Steel, and Mom the Yellow Sun. His diamond emblem sparkled in Her radiating light As he flew with Grace and dignity over The city below
Villans crumbled in his path While MEtropolis Flourished in the Warm summer
Then, as if by an EditingGlitch Kryptonite metors and Blinding supernovas Rattled caMEra One Into submission
Credits Rolled Too Fast To Comprehend
I still sleep with his cape under My pillow and Her warmth in my Chest

Adam,
This is a beautiful tribute to the idealizations of childhood - the perspective from which we viewed our intimate worlds seemed so romantic and simple when we were young. The startling ending to this epic feature induces a sense of fragmentation and numbness, and yet, a mood of reverence and inner peace is manifested in your words. I love this one.

i love the sense of speed shutting down to a boy, now a man, curled up under the covers with one hand under the pillow, the other over his heart. dark, quiet, with a single light. great job, this is moving and sobering. c. |
