Maybe Life Will Get Better

Sometimes I'm happier then I make myself to be
I'm convincing myself to be better
Sometimes I look up into the sky
It's like God just gave me a letter
"Life may be bad for you right now
But I know you will get through it somehow
You were put on this Earth to live a great life
I know you will get through all this strife"
I imagine what my future will be
I think of all places I'd see
My life won't be shrouded in darkness
My world won't be endlessly hapless
Maybe someday that smile will come back
Maybe someday I won't feel like a hack
I really have to try and keep dreaming
So my mind will stop it's loud shrill screaming
I think about all of my talents
I can draw, sing, but I'm not good with balance
My friend even said I could join his new band
There he goes again, giving me a hand
I'm happy when I am who I am
It feels even greater when I don't get a slam
Maybe life will be good
I prayed that it would
There are still those people who don't like me for me
But when I am famous, maybe they'll see
Just how wrong they really were
Just how bad they treated "Her"
So I look again up to the sky
Thinking out loud, not wondering why
"Thank you, I feel so much better
Thank you, for giving me this letter"
