Twisted Irony

Contributed by akaimeridia on Thursday, 20th January 2005 @ 07:31:51 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

I've lived long enough
I'm saying goodbye
Forget what I look like
Don't take time to cry

I've accomplished so little
Fulfilled nothing more
This is the last time
I'll step though my door

I'm taking the knife
That I've hid for so long
Finally suicide seems right -
- Not wrong

Love was so cruel to me
Drove me insane
Incompetent joy
Unbearable pain

I hope I'm not selfish
My family's all right
Although I heard somebody
Crying last night

I've now slit my wrists
I'm starting to bleed
That warm, dizzy feeling
Is just what I need

But wait - what was that?
Did my mother just scream?
Does she know what I've done?
This is not how it seems

Blood trails behind me
I run down the hall
Only to stop short,
Stumble, and fall

My breath comes up short
My mother was crying
With horrified truth
I knew I was dying

And the last thing I saw
In his room near the shelf
Was the sight of my brother
Hanging himself
