|
the passion painted
in black ink
words gentle,
yet messy
cross outs and squiggles
the pen searches
for a distinct word
failing
but still writes
exhilarating and intoxicating
writing rapid
thoughts brimming
onto the white virgin
excited from the surge
words keep flowing
hoping to reach
an intense revelation
finally,
the height of this delight
a moment of pride
and rest
the hand is tired
and mind exhausted
satisfied,
the pen stops
to begin again
on a new white sheet,
another dose of words
to ease the craving
