A letter from God

Contributed by Onangelswings on Friday, 21st January 2005 @ 04:52:37 PM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

My heart is healed, but you can see the scars
Scars that the years have left behind

God take my heart and make it brand new
God told me if I did you wouldn't be you

You need to hurt and learn to heal
You need to learn all the different ways you can feel

But God I asked, why leave the scars
The are ugly and painful, this is going too far

The scars will stay, sorry my dear
You will see them year after year

They are your character and who you have been
They are a reflection of your every sin

Now take your heart out and hold you head high
I breathed a deep and heavy sigh.

God said then, Your life has meaning and happiness too
That is because my child, I love you.

Good reflection on how God uses circumstances in our lives to mold us. I think there is truth in that our decisions and sins we have committed to aid in shaping our character.

Wow, very deep poem. We all have our scars that show who we are. But without them, would we really be who we are? .............Mike

This is really good, a lot of food for thought. It makes me realize that my scars are very much a part of who I am today. Also, thank you for reading and commenting on my poem.
