Surprised by what has happened
Amazed, and yet so sweet
I never thought Id be here
This time, she came to me.
We started back, as only friends
Then both of us went through
Other loves that hurt us bad
If only then we knew.
Somehow, we seem to fit together
But now these feelings stir
Im trying not to let them out
But now Im Missing Her.
Not quite sure where we are yet
Now friends, and more to me
Ive held her in my arms
It feels so wonderfully.
The first time that I kissed her
Left me weak, and numb inside
The second night, much better
That kiss, I could have died.
So warm, its left me unsure
Just where we go from here
I know that I am fighting it
But Im Missing Her, I fear.
I want to keep this friendship
But now, Im wanting more
Shes opened up my eyes again
To what I missed before.
The first time that I met her
Bad timing, was to blame
The interest was there then
The feeling was the same.
But we never even tried it
And why, I do not know
Weve now spent time together
Weve taken it so slow.
But here I sit, and wonder
Where we are, and what we were
Im feeling what Im fearing
That now Im Missing Her.
I need to see her quickly
To hold her once again
And kiss her like the last time
Shes more than just a friend.
I find my mind just wandering
I still smell her perfume
I know now that Im Missing Her
This all happened so soon.
Not ready yet, but happy still
Could be the time is right
I will not let this pass me by
Im Missing Her tonight.
Today well be together again
And maybe then well see
I know for sure, shes beautiful
Im Missing Her with me.
Strange to me, she was the first
And now, maybe the last
We helped each other all along
To get through all the past.
And here we are, with something more
A chance for us to find
If we will be together now
Its like life in rewind.
Back to the beginning day
The feelings, shining through
So scared because Im Missing Her
Not knowing what to do.
I tell myself, just take it slow
And it will all be okay
Just do what we are doing now
And take this day by day.
I know this could be beautiful
I see how this could be
For now I know Im Missing Her
It feels so good to me.
Ill see her soon, and kiss her
Again, its in her eyes
Im trying not to fall in love
But I wont live with lies.
What happens next, is waiting
I know that we will see
I know that this feels wonderful
Im Missing Her with me.
It all has come full circle
Why was I so blind then?
What matters, is shes here now
I wont miss out again.
Things happen for a reason
I guess, it had to be this way
You see, shes here in front of me
And now, Im Missing Her today.
I cannot get my hopes up yet
Just see what comes with time
And know that still Im Missing Her
Here in this heart of mine.

| you repeating "im missing her" was kind of wearing my nerves down. especially since that line was in almost every stanza, and theres over 15 stanzas. |
