Why does the rainbow come,
Only after rain falls?
Why do the whispers never stay
Within the silent walls?
Before there is a painting,
The canvas will be bare
Unless you take the time to know someone
How do you know if you care?
How will you know if the storys good
If you do not read the book?
How do you know whats around the bend,
If you do not look?
How do you know that you will fail
If you never try?
When all hope has left your heart
Do you look to the sky?
When you feel out of time,
Do you ask for more?
Do you not enjoy the sun and sand
when you walk you walk upon the shore?
Do you say thank you,
For the things you already hold?
Do you ask for a warm blanket
For those who must sleep in the cold?
Or do you want only what makes you happy
And your life worth living?
Have you ever thought to stop receiving
And instead giving?
Do you cherish every moment,
That youre with the one you hold dear?
When the next thing that could happen
Is the worst that you fear?
Why does the world feel so cold
before we see the light?
How do loved ones disappear,
When we hold them tight?
When will we act as if there is no morrow
O when will we crawl from the dark?
Do we know the path we take,
When we first embark?
Live life to its fullest,
Act as if today is your last meal
Act as if a friends touch
If the last thing you shall feel.

| It is a very good write but if you broke it up in four line stanzas at each set of rhymes, it would be even better. |
