"First Kiss" by J. SamuelsonCopyright2001 4/24
I remember my first love Still seems like yesterday Tasting that First Kiss Now years have slid away.
Young love seemed so easy Like then I had it all If I could just go back there Sitting on that wall.
Leaning for that First Kiss I replay it in my mind The way my hands were shaking The way the sun did shine.
The touch of lips first contact The tremble, feeling this My face as red as roses I remember that First Kiss.
Though this was so long ago As still fresh in my mind It made me skip so many beats It made my heart unwind.
That memory shall never leave As one that I would miss I still feel it, with my eyes closed I'm tasting that First Kiss.

This is a really cute poem that depicts a first kiss so awkwardly and accurately...it really is quite good. |
