My friend, I need to tell you
How much you make me smile
Each time I think about you
I miss you all the while.
I know where we are going
Though patience is our guide
We take each day as it comes
And share what is inside.
Eventually, we may get there
Together, we will try
This time Im feeling something
I used to just deny.
I know weve both been broken
So well start out and move slow
And spend this time together
And see if this will grow.
I know for me I feel it
And your kisses say from you
That you are having feelings
Were both afraid, thats true.
But I know that I trust you
And you know you trust me too
This time spent has been special
And its becoming true.
One day, and then another
And see where it may lead
This may be the beginning
Of all that we both need.
I cannot wait to see you
Again, its on my mind
It took so long to get here
I like now what I find.
You are the one Im seeing
It seems like the first time
My eyes awake and opened
My pulse begins to climb.
My heart is racing faster
Your beauty gets to me
Inside you is this woman
That I want to be with me.
Im here, and taking my time
And starting the right way
Youre now a very close friend
And more is on the way.
We have all the time we need
No reason we should hurry
A beautiful foundation here
So we dont have to worry.
Our friendship will get stronger
And our lives will become clearer
Together we could be as one
Ive seen this in Lifes Mirror.
Before we never took the chance
But now were growing nearer
Youre drawing closer to my heart
Ive seen this in Lifes Mirror.
You make me feel a special way
So now I hold you dearer
I only need to look at you
I see you in Lifes Mirror.
