A Romantic Scene (Long Awaited)

Contributed by Doriens_Picture on Monday, 24th January 2005 @ 01:13:41 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

This is their first night alone
Their first night as lovers
It is cold but not to them
The candles are lit
And they are under the sheets
She rests her head on his welcoming chest
As he strokes her beautiful hair
Her eyes are heavy and she falls asleep
Never really feeling as safe as there
In that one moment
His eyes are bright and he is
So overwhelmed
And is in awe at the site of his angel
To him she truly is heaven sent
As if god had made her just for him
He kisses her brow softly
His heart racing so fast
It feels almost still
Never has he felt so alive
Or so in love
He does love her
It is her birth day tonight
She is of age
And has awaited this night for so long
So has he but when it happened
He did not know what to do
He was still so very overwhelmed
And maybe always will be
She was also so scared
And nervous
He has had other girls in his past
But they were all just that
His past
Right now all he wants is her in his life for always
He is her first love but still is not her first
She was not ready and he did not want to hurt her and
For him her just being there was enough
He has all hes wanted
It has always been her and will always be
It has taken him a lifetime to find her
But now that he has he feels he can live for ever
And wants to live every moment
Like that one moment
Just feeling the warmth of the one he loves
Hearing her breath
It is really all he has ever asked for
