Memories of my bro

Contributed by stonedraider23 on Monday, 24th January 2005 @ 10:09:57 PM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

The phone rang
I heard my dads voice
He sounded so scared and hurt
Not knowing what was going on
I asked Dad whats wrong
All he did was mumble
Bill, Bill was in a bad accident
I began to cry
Is he ok?? Over and over
He responded sadly and softly
I really dont know
I dropped to my knees with my baby in my womb
My mom and Bobby jumped out of their beds
Full of fright and curiosity
I was still on my knees with my face in the floor crying
Handing the phone to my mom so she could receive the news
I stand crying in Bobbys arms
Wanting, wishing and praying my best friend, my big bro
Would be ok
Knowing he is hurt and barely alive
My heart, my soul creeps closer and closer to the knowledge
That my biggest fear is coming true
Losing my brother
I can remember knowing I cant go on living life without
The guidance of the man I look up to
We arrive at the hospital he is at
Fearing what we will soon see
I see before me a swollen, bruised, cut and a bloody man
This is who the doctors say is my brother
I didnt want to believe it was him
But I knew it was as I walked closer
