Childhood

Contributed by Stej on Monday, 24th January 2005 @ 11:50:55 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Cleaning out my room, what do I find
Dancing pasts of a different mind
Childhood fantasies, time's flown by
Lived on a dream that I could fly

Walking in the rain, droplets fall
Two feet short, yet stood so tall
On a canvas of dreams I'd paint
Laced in bliss, tomorrow was faint

Back to when the rivers ran free
Horizon of future too distant to see
These memories don't fade-
For it was me
Cleaning out my childhood

Sands of time have passed me by
The girl has gone, yet wonder why
But hope's not lost, she will remain
She shall return, and once again
Forever she'll fly
Alone in the rain
