I've only seen you cracked And salvaged from a fire It seems that all your youth Was stolen from a choir
You tried to sing their notes But your voice was born to crow
These days, all your age Has gone and slipped inside you A road has formed within The deep soles of your shoes
Now you can only walk Until Black Robe brings you home
