Seventeen

Seventeen, spotty, really funny hair,
Not sure what I was doing there,
It was only by coincidental chance,
That I was at this local dance.

Asked for a snog behind the bike shed,
She said yes and was easily led,
What she did with her tongue was rude,
Luckily with no trace of previous food.

When I pressed further and tried to grope,
She told me not to be such a dope,
Inside me stomach twisted and churned,
Or was it a bad meal and heartburn?

Suddenly seventeen going on happy,
Ahead, marriage, mortgage and nappy,
Told myself to slow down dont be a fool,
But she had me all het up, not quite so cool.

Asked when I could see her again,
Said on Tuesday down by market lane,
Both arrived at the same time,
Shared a drink, two straws, lager and lime.

Her smile was real and I was drawn in,
It suggested move closer to original sin,
And she told me that I was alright,
Wish I could have stayed with her all night.

Well the long and short of it all,
I havent made myself look a fool,
Although no reading of wedding banns,
Were still going out and now holding hands.

Awww, this is so sweet.
Well, I'm glad it worked out for you both.
I guess we all have out little cherished memories of when we were 17.
Great write,
*hugs* Phil xxx
