Bad Credit Blues
I got the bad credit blues
And its hit me real hard
I can't buy a house
and I can't fix my car
Had an attorney man once
But he sold me a lie
said file bancruptcy
then all things you can buy
So we gave up the house
and a couple cars too
we moved to an apt
then we found out the truth
If you file bancruptcy
and you're one signature short
then the judge takes your papers
and throws them outta court
Now I got a bancruptcy
and I got nothing more
Can't get credit for gas
or department stores
So the banks now they say
If you want to repent
Three hundred dollars
and a card will be sent
But still it will take me
just over a year
And the credit bureaus, they
Hold words that are dear
For I just want to know
that my record is straight
that my bad mistakes
to the grave I won't take
So I'll call up the bureaus
and I listen with care
to see if my beacon score
is finally there!

You won't. Honestly.
Been there, done that. It takes ten years - less if you get a high income. Interesting write and different from most on here, but what a lot of people are feeling. Don't know why you haven't had more comments. Blessings. |
