Breakup
he changed his mind
she giggled and laughed
smiled real wide
and threw up her hands
if thats what you want
she replied with a smirk
tossed her hair
slipped off her ring
turned on the spot
and walked out with a grin

Mistakes
she closes her eyes
but hears it all
wishes she was anywhere but here
the salty sting subsides
little rivers flow from her eyes
welled up in the crevace
a happy smile had once resided
choking on tears
her pain caught up with her
hands to eyes
trying to block it all out
replaying scenes in her minds eye
regretting every whisper, every touch, every love-induced grin
so in a desperate attempt to escape this haunted world
she sobs herself to sleep
with aspirin to heal her heart
