When I look at you I see
memories of you and me
Everytime you were around
happiness is what I found
We both knew it wouldnt last
it had to come to an end
now I struggle everyday
trying to be just friends
Im trying to get over you
but I love you too much
always missing you
and yearning for your touch
You said that I cant love you
Im sorry but I do
If I cant love you and be your friend
then this friendship has to end
I dont know why it bothers you
as much as you say
but you have to give me time
to make the feelings go away
But you cant except that
so Ill have to fade
but in the future
please dont wish I stayed
I wont let you know
that Im fading away
Ill do it gradually
Unitl Im gone one day
Ill miss you
and deep inside Ill cry
knowing Ill never see you
Im secretly saying goodbye
you have no idea
Im trying to leave you behind
true love, a wife and kids
one day I hope you find
But in the future
if Im ever on your mind
just remember I loved you
and Im so sorry
you were left behind...
