|
Livin' in a world
Where people smoke
their lives away
Thinkin if I get high
Everything will be okay
Little kids walkin down the street
Wonderin where they'll go
and what problemsthey'll meet
Teens sittin on the corner
Wonderin what they'll do next
Thinkin about where
They'll lay there head to rest
Young girls sleepin around
Not knowin' about the STD
Thinkin their body's the way
and usin' it is the key
Young boys doin drugs
Not knowin about the lie
Thinkin that sellin's
The only way to get by
Grown men with nowhere to go
Wonderin from house to house
and from hoe to hoe
As I walk down my street
These are the things I see
and it hurts deep down inside of me
That this is the future of our society
