What do I dream of?
Is the question you ask
I dream of life, love
The future and past
Sometimes I dream hate
Sometimes I dream sorrow
Sometimes I dream fear
And what life brings tomorrow
Sometimes they are good
Sometimes they are plain
Sometimes all they bring me
Is never ending pain
The good ones I have
Never really come true
I only sleep at night
So that I can dream of you
I dream of your smile
I dream of your eyes
I dream of my proposal
And your look of surprise
I dream of our love
But I know that it's fake
When I dream about you
I pray to never wake
For when I arise
And see that you're gone
I re-close my eyes
And continue to dream on
