~THE LITTLE GIRL THAT DIED~

Contributed by POETRY_AND_LOVE_BUG on Saturday, 7th December 2002 @ 10:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

one day as i walked by
i saw you laying on the ground
i looked down to find
you didn't even turn around.
~~~~~~~~~~~
i asked what was wrong
you didn't even move
i wondered what was wrong
and i didn't know what to do!
~~~~~~~~~~~
that's when it kicked in
that you wasn't alive
i thought to myself
is this something to hide?
~~~~~~~~~~~~
then i went to your house
to find your dad drinking a beer
i told what had happened
and he didn't even shread a tear!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
i asked him why he was happy
and that's when he said
"i was the one that killed her
and i am thanking God, she's dead."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
that's when i asked him why
he would do such a thing
and he said to me that i
need to leave and swing!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
i told him no i am not leaving
this is something that needs attition,
that's when he said i'll do the same to you
if you try to mention!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
so i got by the phone
and i picked it up
i dialed 911
and he hit me with a cup!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
then i could hear them on the phone
they were asking what was wrong
that's when i heard the sirens
come close and turn on!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
then he went out the back door
i guess trying to hide
that's when they came through the back door
and he was there to find!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
then they came up to me
and asked if i was okay
i told them i was
but there's something i have to say!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
take him to the police car
and lock him away
and then i'll just show you
what i was going to say!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
so they put him behind bars
and i told them to come
and thats when he blurted
you are so dumb.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
and we just kept walking
and i took them to the place
where that little girl
was pale in the face!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
they noticed she was dead
and they noticed i was hurt
i was bleeding from the head
and she was laying in the dirt!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
they told me not to worry
they would handle it
that's when we went back
and my mom had noticed i was hit!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
she started to scream
she started to cry
and that's when she ran to me
and said you almost died!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
i said mom i know
i was hit with a cup
just think about that little girl
that was killed with a gun!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
she said who killed her
i said that man over there
she started screaming at him
and she told the police it wasn't fair!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
that's when the police said
she's better off now
and that's when my mom said
i can't believe how!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
but this will be the end
of the little girls death
the man took his life
and i have 30 stiches in my head!!!

very sad write, and intense indeed. I like the story plot and how it all came to an end. Very good write. Not sure if this is real, you did a nice write of putting the words in transition to your thoughts well.

Dear Poetry Bug @-<-<<-
finally got here & read this well laid out and interesting write of yours.. is it true? Did you get to read Johnathon Angel yet? *If true; I am feeling sad for the little girl although she no longer hurts & we need to try to remember this with those we miss through death, don't we? -& the cruelty of the father is unjust! I have no love lost on those who are mean to children or animals in any way, shape or form & no forgiveness either towards any kind of violence. *If fictional you have a rare wonderful talent inside you to see beyond the realm of the world of norm & put what others miss into words.
Always Nessa

This has got to be one of the best poems I have ever read!! Great Job! I loved it. Keep up the wonderful work.
I agree 100% with Nessa. No one should have the privlage of being blessed with a child if they treat people like that. However, I also think that some one who does things like that should not have the privlige of commiting. I fermly believe that they should live with that torcher for the rest of there lives. And may they have a long one, so they can reach the slightest of just in what they did.

WOW :) This is very good. Is this real or just a story cause it seems like a real one.
