hiding tears behind a painful smile
blocking out the pain with a fake happiness
nobody notices
they think its real
which is exactly the way i want it
i don't want them to know
about...everything..
the wet mascara pouring off my face as i stay awake crying
the depression sinking its way into me
the broken feeling deep in my heart
the heart that is slowly fading, dulling, blackening
i have to let this out
its been dwelling deep inside for way too long
it hurts even worse the longer it sits there
i have to let it out or it will continue to slowly tear me apart
if only the smiling happiness i present on the outside was not just a lie
things would be so much easier
but they aren't
so this is my life...
hopefully things will change before i lose what is left of it
