Mommy come stay,
stay with me,
dance once more,
read me a bedtime story.
Momma come home,
come home with me,
cook one more time,
turn out my lights.
Mom come kiss me,
come kiss me goodnight,
sing with me one last time,
wind my musicbox.
Mother come hug me,
come hug me goodbye,
leave my door open.
Mommy come stay,
stay with me,
smile just for me,
and write your love in the stars.
